What equipment do I need to teach with TwinkleTalk?

You'll need a computer with a webcam, a headset with microphone, and a stable internet connection with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed. We also recommend having a backup power source and internet connection in case of outages.

How do I get paid and how often?

TwinkleTalk pays teachers once a month via Stripe (an online payment system). Payments are processed on the last day of each month for all classes taught in the previous period.

Can I choose my own teaching schedule?

Yes! TwinkleTalk offers complete flexibility. You can open teaching slots based on your availability up to 4 weeks in advance. The more consistent your schedule, the more likely you are to build a regular student base.

What age groups will I be teaching?

Our platform primarily serves students aged 4-16, with different curriculum levels appropriate for each age group. You may indicate your preferred age group during onboarding, though we encourage teachers to be open to all levels.

Do I need to speak the student's native language?

No, our teaching methodology is based on full English immersion. All teaching materials and communication with students are conducted in English only.
